Police presents 10 Karachi riots suspects before ATC

Some police sources say the arrests were made with the help of CCTV footages.

KARACHI: Police identified and presented 10 suspects in the Karachi arson incident before an Anti-Terrorist Court. The suspects are believed to be involved in rioting and arson after a suicide attack at a Muharram procession on Karachi’s Muhammad Ali Jinnah road.

According to police, four of the suspects, allegedly involved in rioting and burning shops and damaging government property, were arrested by the City Court police and were presented in a local court. However, six others were arrested by the Preedy police.

Four of the accused told media that they were taken into police custody after brief questioning.

Some police sources say the arrests were made with the help of CCTV footages.
