Labourers busy in construction work at a flyover

KARACHI: District government has been unable to start construction work of a flyover on Shahra-e-Faisal for more than three months now. The delay in construction is not due to lack of funds, but because of a house belonging to president Zardari.

Officials at the district government say that the chief minister of Sindh has ordered to stop construction of the flyover near Mehran hotel on Shahra-e-Faisal due to security concerns around a house that belongs to President Asif Zardari.

The flyover is part of the city government Signal Free Corridor IV project.

The 170 million rupee project was inaugurated by Sindh Governor Eshratul Ebad.

Meanwhile speaking to our correspondent chief secretary Sindh Fazal Ur Rehman said that Sindh government did not pass any directives to stop or delay the works on the project.
