The president called for early resolution of the visa problems being faced by Pakistanis, particularly students.

LONDON: British Foreign Secretary David Miliband called on President Asif Ali Zardari here on Sunday. The president who is here on a private visit, discussed with Mr Miliband the issue of visas for Pakistanis, especially students and immigration matters.

The president called for early resolution of the visa problems being faced by Pakistanis, particularly students.

Mr Miliband assured him that there was no discrimination against Pakistani students and the visa delay problem would be looked into and the process streamlined.

Mr Zardari and Mr Miliband noted progress in relations made with the establishment of Friends of Democratic Pakistan pioneered by the British government’s agreement to launch a summit level strategic dialogue.
