At least 13 killed as twin bomb explosions rock Bannu

The two explosions, one of which was reportedly a suicide attack, took place with an interval of five minutes.

BANNU: At least thirteen people were killed and 25 others, including a senior police official, were injured when two explosions rocked the northwestern city of Bannu on Thursday.

The two explosions, one of which was reportedly a suicide attack, took place with an interval of five minutes, police officials told our correspondent. The reported targets of the explosion were the Bannu Police Lines hospital and a police training centre.

Heavy rounds of firing followed the explosions as police and military officials tried to take control of the area.
