Petition filed in SC against delay in judges appointments

Supreme Court of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: A petition has been filed in Supreme Court against delay in judges’ appointments in higher judiciary.

Akram Sheikh advocate filed a petition on behalf of Nadeem Ahmed advocate. A petition has asked judiciary to interpret article 6 of constitution and also define in which circumstances it will be applicable.

A petition also stated that government is damaging judiciary and it is a duty of the government to immediately appoint judges on vacant seats.
